WALKS AROUND OUR VILLAGE
The Lampet Arms is a great starting point for a number of circular walks through the unspoilt countryside. Although most paths around the village are well marked it is recommended that the OS Explorer map 191 for Banbury, Bicester and Chipping Norton is used. Please shut all field gates and keep dogs on leads where livestock is running.
WALK TO THE IRON AGE CAMP AT TADMARTON HEATH 4.5 MILES
Leaving the Lampet Arms turn right along the path by the main road past the church until you reach a bridleway to the left of a row of terraced houses called Ushercombe View. Pass through a field gate and follow the path as it leads down through a copse, crossing a stream. Follow the track as it veers left to some isolated barns.
Go through the gate in the corner of the field and take right hand of the two paths and cross to another gate in the right hand corner of the field.
