"Came here for bank holiday weekend with hubby our 8 year old and our chocolate Labrador. We've never been before and so glad we did as this pub was lovely, the breakfast we had was one of the best breakfasts we have had, all home cooked food. There was a live band on the night we stayed and we really enjoyed it, all the local people are very friendly and the owners will do anything for you, nothing was a problem, the dog sat in the bar with us all evening and other dogs were in there too. The room we stayed in was in a old converted coach house out the back, it was clean tidy with an en suite and the views over the fields were lovely. Lots of places to walk with the dog. Will definitely be coming back here. Thank you so much for making our stay to remember."
"Had a lovely nights stay with my husband at the Lampet Arms. The staff, especially the owners Phyllis and Des were very friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent, huge portions so you weren't left hungry. I also loved the room we stayed in too, very spacious and the bed was soooooo comfy!! They had a 60's/70's live band on the night we were there which was great!!! We will definitely be going back!"
"Arrived Friday lunchtime and left after breakfast on Sunday. Phyllis and Des couldn't have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.
Rooms were great, food was fantastic, portions were HUGE. Everyone was very welcoming. It was my birthday celebration and Laura sorted balloons, candles etc. Lovely surprise, haven't laughed so much in a long time. We will definitely be going back. Good taxi/rail services too, so was easy to get to Oxford."
"Myself and four friends booked in for the night at The Lampet Arms near Banbury and we received a very friendly warm welcome.
The Lampet Arms decor is very quirky with some very interesting sculptures and I asked who created them and I was informed Christopher Townsend...
We booked for dinner which was really good portions and very fresh food.....
Good selection of real ales and limited but nice wine.
Our rooms were very comfortable and reasonably priced.
Very nice couple who run it and locals were extremely friendly.
Dogs are welcome
We requested breakfast at 8am as we needed to leave by 8.30am... and yes it was all ready for us and very tasty.
I would definitely visit again when in the area."
